Does anyone have access to the above?
I have no need to look at any other English records as 99% of my lot stayed in Scotland or emigrated to parts foreign.
I have my great grandparents well documented re BMD's and censuses except for the 1891 census. Can't find them in Scotland, but as one son was born in 1891 in England then I assume they were in England when the census was taken.
George Glendinning born 1854 in Colinton Midlothian and wife Isabella born 1856/7 in St Petersburg Russia.
It would be interesting to know where they lived.

You are just a star.
You have filled in a great blank for me.
Mu husband tells me that he has driven past this area and it is the pits, according to him. Those poor folks must have gone down to London seeking a better life and found out it wasn't so. They returned to Scotland by 1894 as another child was born there, also 2 others after this.
In the end, out of 9 children only 4 survived to adulthood, including my grandfather who died, aged 53, before I was born.
Such a hard life.
