New Payment Gateway - Wont accept my card

Post by And It Makes Me Shine » Fri Jun 02, 2006 3:09 pm

Tried using my card today to buy credits but it wont allow me saying there is a problem and to try another card. I dont have another card! Its the same card I have used weekly for the last 5 months.
Has anyone else experienced problems?

If you have not already done so, then send a contact form in to ScotlandsPeople (via the "contact us" link at the foot of each page), and hopefully they can offer a solution, and an explanation.

All the best,

Have you tried the same card again in case of error?

Yes tried, tried and tried. I submitted a contact form and got a reply that there was a config problem on the gateway but it was fixed. Tried again still not working. I will try later tonight.

Hi
I am having problems when trying to purchase credits.
When I type in my 16 digit card number I get
"account# must be 13-19 digits only"
What is this?
Cricky jings!
Anyone else in the same creek?

Credit card confusion

Post by Russell » Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:38 pm

Hi Davie

I had a similar problem with SP and it turned out to be simple.
I was grouping the numbers as they appeared on the card and it wouldn't accept it until I left out the spaces and typed in the entire sequence at once.
Not 1234 5678 9 just 123456789.

Stupid, but enough of a difference to bamboozle the computer!

Well done Russell
Worked fine.
Thanks
It used to work ok with the spaces before.
But, someone must have moved the goalposts,
