how do I contact SP

Post by gill1971 » Sun Sep 03, 2006 12:23 am

Hi, I am finding it impossible to read a marraige entry from SP, as the quality is very grainy.
I cant seem to find a link to contact SP. Can anyone tell me how I go about contacting SP, to get a better quality?
regards
Gill

Near the bottom, looking a bit greyed out, is a line of links. The second from the left is usually "Contact Us".

Hi Gillian,

Hope it's not one of the Bonnar records you are having difficulty reading. If so let me know as I probably have it.

SP will normally send you a readable copy if you contact them.

Regards,

Ina

Hi Ina,
No its not a Bonnar record I am having difficulty reading. Its a marraige record going down a different branch on my own side of the family. In not being able to read the details, I cannot go any further back. I have had this marraige record for a long time, but had put that branch to the side, due to being unable to read it.
I havent had much free time to do research, but I will get back to you soon
Gillian

Why don't you upload the certificate to the gallery and post it.

Everyone here is very helpful, and new eyes can sometimes pick out other things.

Here's the link for the "Certificates - Help with deciphering" gallery.

http://www.talkingscot.com/gallery/thum ... p?album=72

2nd from the right of the blue links at the top is "upload file"

Click on that to open the file upload page; there is a box with the browse button next to it. Click on that and it will offer you a "choose file" popup. Use this to go to the folder the certificate is in on your PC, click on the file and it usually closes that popup and you will see the filename box on the upload screen is now filled in. Click on the upload button - away she goes. Wait for a screen telling you that the file has been loaded.

Admin will let you know when it has been approved. If you do another post saying you have now uploaded the file, admin usually (they're so good) will pop the link into the post for you :D
