Hi David
There is a Ben line web site at;
http://www.ben-line.org.uk/
but not sure if that is any help. The other place that may be able to point you in the correct direction is Trinity House in Leith. As far as I remember there are some ex. Ben Line people there.

It is well worth a visit.
Best wishes
Lesley

Hi David, if all else fails (as a certain prime minister´s husband apparently said) .....
.........try "Lloyd´s Captains´ Register": http://www.history.ac.uk/gh/capreg.htm which seems to have info. up to 1947. It may cost a bit, I used a librarian in his lunch hour, but worked for me.
Good hunting,
Thrall
(He concluded with "read the instructions" which isn´t very relevant.)
