Could it be that Scotland's People are downloading records at the moment? I cannot access the site! Ohhhh, fingers crossed; I am wanting to search for a 1956 death!

Hmm, Maybe it is just me then. But I am having trouble getting the main page, then trouble logging in, then it will not go to the search pages...it times out. And I have had some weird pages come up. One looked like a Word Document, with all items from SP's intro pagre on it, but just presented as a Word page. It was like this yesterday too.

Hi Nina

I can get in from Australia - no updates listed as yet. Last year I think they were done on 30th Dec.

I did find it very slow to load - compared to the usual time - but this could be at my end.

mmm - I am getting a "page not found" on a search - although I can display the search page. My husband tells me an undersea earthquake has destroyed some cables and caused much loss of communication lines for Asia. I am finding a number of sites are very slow today - although not TalkingScot

Thanks for that Trish...actually I have had a couple of other sites take a while to load, and some of my searches (for recipes) didn't load at all either. So maybe it is the cables.

I was thinking the updates took everyone by surprise last yearas they were a wee bit early, which is why I thought it might be due to that...oh well!

Ive just tried SP logged in ok but when I click search button it closes itself down any other people having that problem.
