Did Royalty fill in a census form in 1901 .....

Post by ASGROOMBRIDGE » Mon Jan 08, 2007 10:58 pm

Hi everyone,

I have never been able to find my English Grandmother on the 1901 English census, I have now been told by a cousin that grandmther was working for Queen Victoria at the time the Queen died she then stayed on in the royal household, if she was in Scotland did Royalty fill in census forms.

Sounds a really silly question does'nt it,

Hi Audrey,

http://www.londoncensus.co.uk/queenvic.htm

Note - these are 1841 and 1851. Queen Victoria died a few weeks before the 1901 census was taken.

All the best,

AndrewP

I think the Queen died in January 1901 so it would have been King Edward, that is if my memory is correct.

Thank you for the link,

Audrey
