Right, i'm off to raid the building where the census is
I can't wait til it comes out. Does anyone know what extra information is included in the census?
Also it mentions that they were written in their own hand, how would that work for someone who couldn't write?

If you lay your hands on a copy of the May edition of Family History Monthly there's a blank schedule on p29. I'd scan it and add it to the Gallery, except that a very high resloution would be required to allow the column headings to be read, - we could be talking 20+ Mb.Pandabean wrote:Right, i'm off to raid the building where the census is![]()

(Thinks, - there has to be a copy somewhere on the web...................)

If neither the Head of Household or someone else in the household, even a child, was able to fill in the schedule, then it would be down to the enumerator.
NB The Scottish 1911 format is the same as earlier censuses, i.e. the info from the schedules transcribed into enumeration books.

Isn't this particular partnership just for the England and Wales 1911 census?
Here's a link to a previous article and sample image.....(hope this works!)

Indeed !! , and a congratulatory email has been sent to the MD of ScotlandonLine !!JustJean wrote:Isn't this particular partnership just for the England and Wales 1911 census?
The link works OK, but the quality of the on-line image is very, very low, - but then a downloaded image from the site may be of much higher quality .............JustJean wrote:Here's a link to a previous article and sample image.....(hope this works!)
