Hi,
On GR I have a couple that married; all their info is there. The husband died leaving a widow. The widow marries a brother of her dead husband. When I go to add a partner to the brother GR requires me to enter in the data of the brother's partner, even though the info is already there from her 1st marriage.
Anyone else encounter this problem, and been able to deal with it?
Interesting that the informant for the 1st brother was the wife's sister.
Well, at least the two eldest of the 5 brothers married two sisters:)
Regards. dennis

Hi Dennis,
To be honest, I gave up adding or editing data in GR ages ago because it sometimes refused to save if I'd not filled in some of the boxes.
Instead, I made my changes in my Family Tree Maker software and upload the whole new file to GR at regular intervals. It quite happily accepts the missing information this way.

Hello emanday,
Just heard back from GR:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately it is not currently possible to link the same individual so they only appear once in your tree. You will need to add these in as separate individuals.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like she'll have to be on the chart twice.
All the best. dennis
